Information Needed To Put Together A Package

TO START: Always request a GPM Tagging flow rate schedule and a schematic of the piping detail for the individual coil off the job plans, IE Fan coil unit detail or Vav box detail or heat pump hose kit schematic.

HCi now has PDS "Package Design Software" This will configure, quote and prepare a submittal for any job.

TO quote a package HCi needs to know:

#1 Is it a 2-way or 3-way or NO control valve configuration?

#2 Do they need hoses?

#2 Do they need a strainer valve?

#3 Do they need a drain/blowdown valve?

#4 Do they need an air vent?

#5 Do they need a manual balancing or automatic balancing valve?

#6 If a 3-way config do they need a shut-off or a balancing valve in the bypass?

To BUILD a Job HCi Needs to KNOW:

(7) things we need to know to build/configure any valve package.

#1 The Runout Supply & Return Pipe Size, IE 1/2" - 2" Nominal

#2 The Runout Supply & Return Pipe Type, IE Copper Pipe or Black Iron Male

#3 The COIL Connection Pipe Size, IE 1/2" - 2" Nominal (Sometimes they call out the copper pipe using the O.D. Size like 7/8" O.D. is 3/4" Nominal Pipe)

#4 The COIL Connection Type, IE Copper Pipe or Male MNPT or Female FNPT

#5 The (Temperature) Control Valve Connection Size, IE 1/2" - 2" Nominal

#6 The (Temperature) Control Valve Connection Type, IE Copper Pipe or Male MNPT or Female FNPT

#7 The Tagging/Location Information & Flow rate in GPM schedule information.
